Who is behind Kindred Hearts?

Kindred Hearts was founded in August 2018 by Johanna Schick and Ashleigh Ramshaw-Carroll.

Both of them met just a year before but quickly figured out their similar goals: running their own business and doing good at the same time. Their love and care for others helped to grow a strong friendship which has now grown even further to a business partnership.

How do you choose the brands you work with?

The brands we work with are carefully chosen by our two founders Ashleigh Ramshaw-Carroll and Johanna Schick.

As we want to provide ethical and sustainable products, the brands have to not just show the same values, but also take action on them. Before taking a new brand on board, we will have a close look into their processes to ensure they fit our criteria. 

Why is your stock so limited?

Part of the Slow Fashion world is pre-ordering. The clothes get made according to the amount that has been pre-ordered to reduce waste. While suppliers might have extra stock available, its not guaranteed that products can be re-ordered. Once our stock is gone, its gone. However, you can be excited about the next seasons collection to arrive with new goodies to love. 

Kindred Hearts is still in its early days, so a lot is still a new world for us. Over time we are sure to meet the demand, but at this stage its a learning and exploring process for us. Please be patient with us!

Is my information secure?

Absolutely! We wont be sharing any of your information!

Any information we collect is used for marketing and UX purposes.

How much is delivery?

We charge $9.95 for shipping for all orders up to $100. If you order for more, shipping is on us! 

How is my order packaged?

Your order is packaged in the most environmentally friendly way we could find. 

We chose to go with compostable packaging. Yes, you can add them to your home compost and even tye worms will love them! Nothing better than keeping our environment safe, right? 

Can I collect my order?

No. Unfortunately, its not possible to collect your order from our warehouse. 

What if I got the sizing wrong? Can I return goods?

We understand that online ordering can be difficult – especially with brands you’re not familiar with yet.

You might get the sizing wrong for the first couple of times, or the colours didn’t turn out the way you expected.

No problems. We have all been there!

You can change your mind 14 days after your order arrived and send the unworn clothes with their tags back to us and we are more than happy to give you a store voucher for the value of the returned goods!

Why do I have to pay return fees?

While we thought of offering free returns, here is the reason why we decided against it:

As an ethical brand who wants to take greater care about the environment, we don’t want to encourage ordering more than you think you need and return majority of the ordered goods. Every shipping transaction adds to the overall carbon footprint which we want to try to keep as minimal as possible. We are counting on your support and hope you understand!
